Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation of infrastructure, championing best practices in service operation, delivery, scale, and observability.
- Engage in the continuous integration and continuous deployment lifecycle of services, from design and inception through deployment, operation, and continuous refinement.
- Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure.
- Contribute system design, capacity planning, and pre-production activities to support services before they go live.
- Ensure optimal service performance by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health. Implement sustainable scaling through automation and push for system evolution to boost reliability and deployment velocity.
- Actively participate in incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to foster continuous improvement.
Core Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years in DevOps, system administration, or similar roles, with a proven track record in supporting enterprise-level applications.
- Extensive experience with Azure; familiarity with GCP and AWS is an added advantage
- Strong command of at least one compiled programming language along with experience in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- At least 2-4 years in production engineering or a similar capacity.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking, CI/CD methodologies, and best practices with tools like Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for automated system deployments.
- Experience deploying applications in containerized environments using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Familiarity with Azure Services like Application Insights, App Configurations, Key vault, API Management Services, Alerting & Monitoring and AKS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer technology or engineering.
- Expertise in managing applications with Kubernetes.
- Experience in creating build and deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps
- Working knowledge of Azure, AWS is preferred and GCP is advantageous.
- Experience working with Security scans like Fortify, Veracode or other security scan tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Proficient in working with APIs and Plugins for integrating diverse tooling into established CI/CD pipelines.
Candidate Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capability to optimize code and automate routine tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical challenges and solutions to varied audiences.
