So, what’s the role all about?
The Senior DevOps Engineer works as an integrated part of a software engineering team with specific focus on facilitating and building automated pipelines for continuous delivery of the team's deliverables with guaranteed production-level quality and supportability.
How will you make an impact?
- Perform and manage application deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, SRE, and Operations to ensure smooth deployment cycles.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, identify root causes, and drive quick resolutions.
- Configure, maintain, and administer Windows servers, IIS, and related deployment components.
- Work with GitHub for version control, repository management, and deployment workflows.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to improve deployment efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to deployment standards, documentation, and release management processes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying automation opportunities and deployment optimizations.
- Maintain configuration documentation and deployment guidelines.
Have you got what it takes?
- Proven experience in application deployments in enterprise or large-scale environments.
- Strong understanding of Windows OS administration and IIS configuration.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, branching strategies, CI/CD workflows, and release processes.
- Experience in AWS, Jenkins will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python and PowerShell.
- Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues across different application tiers.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive deployment environments.
