Depending on his/her scope, the incumbent will be in charge of one the domain :

Budget

  • Budget Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to achieving project budgets by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.

Support operations:

  • Lead Complex Projects: Lead the technical execution of engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3 (new designs based on existing knowledge or design based on existing rules).

  • Technical Problem Solving: Serve as a referent for critical problem solving within the Discipline, utilizing Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

  • Customer Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.

  • Technical Transversal Sharing: Proactively share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.

Competencies:

  • Technical Coaching and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Discipline Engineers, fostering their professional development and expertise.

  • Design Standards Development: Leverage expertise to build, improve, and validate design standards for Newness levels 2-3, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Valeo's strategic objectives.

Efficiency:

  • Digitalization Roadmap Execution: Actively participate in the execution of the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap, identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and automation.

  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze problem-solving outcomes to identify systemic issues and propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.

Innovation:

  • Innovative Solution Development: Propose and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to engineering challenges, leveraging existing technologies and methodologies.

  • Intellectual Property Protection: Identify patentable inventions arising from innovative solutions and actively participate in the patent filing process (IP).

Collaboration and Influence:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders from other Disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and integrated solutions.
