About the role
The Senior Finance Manager – Technology is responsible for providing commercial partnering, integrated planning and financial management to the AGL Technology function to support the delivery of AGL’s strategy.
What you’ll be doing
• Leadership – Leading team of 3 directs, build capability through a culture of development and engagement, setting clear goals and providing clarity on key priorities. Leading across teams to drive and facilitate change, and connect and enterprise view of technology.
• Process uplift and change management - drive the implementation key finance maturity processes, including BU segment reporting and management reporting transparency uplift.
• Strategic business partnering - support delivery of AGL strategic and financial goals by providing value-added commercial business partnering to the CIO, Technology leadership team (TLT), working collaboratively with Technology commercial team, and leveraging trusted relationship to shape and influence financial objectives.
• Commercial & decision support - support delivery of AGL growth and transformation goals by providing robust commercial analysis to support effective allocation of capital, operational discipline, and benefits realisation, including coordinating the alignment across other BUs where required.
• Financial, planning & analysis - lead delivery of budget, plan & forecasting, as well as all reporting requirements, including P&L, capex, balance sheet, cashflow, regulatory and external, to provide value added transparency and insights on performance, including key risks and opportunities.
What you’ll bring to the table
• Significant experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance
• Business, Finance or Accounting degree with CA / CPA qualification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated track record of managing and influencing senior stakeholders
• Highly organised, with ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines in an effective manner
• Ability to balance partnering relationship whilst driving financial discipline, cost savings and benefit realization
• Experience facilitating change management across multiple senior stakeholder groups
• Experienced leader with examples of cultivating employee engagement and growth
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, solve adopting a solution oriented mindset problems and drive outcomes in a complex environment
• A pro-active, motivated and professional attitude, and ability to work collaboratively with and across teams
• Strong understanding of Technology in a large corporate environment
