Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to create seamless and engaging user experiences. Your role as a technical lead will involve guiding the team, enforcing best practices, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-performance applications. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.
To be successful as a Senior Front End Developer (React) you should have experience with:

  • Deep understanding of React.js, React Native, Redux, and React Hooks.

  • Experience with UI frameworks like Material-UI, Ant Design, or Styled Components.

  • Expertise in RESTful APIs, integrating backend services.

  • Experience in mobile development (iOS & Android) with React Native CLI & Expo.

  • Hands-on experience with Webpack, Babel, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme) and E2E testing (Cypress, Detox).

  • Experience with state management (Redux )and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).

  • Knowledge of Micro Frontend Architecture.

  • Conduct technical training sessions and foster a collaborative team culture.

  • Act as a bridge between UI/UX designers and backend developers to ensure seamless integration.
