Lead development and deployment of marketing measurement models (MMM, incrementality, forecasting) using Bayesian methods; partner with AI agents and engineering to operationalize agentic analytics, deliver client-ready insights, train teams, and mentor junior data scientists.
Job Description:
Senior Data Scientist
Role Summary
Own and advance Dentsu's measurement and marketing science models across MMM, incrementality, forecasting, and market design. You will develop and validate models, then work with AI Agent Development and Data Engineering to deploy them as scalable, client-facing solutions that are agentic, cost-efficient, and easy to interface with.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of marketing mix models using Meridian, Bayesian methods, and custom approaches tailored to client needs
- Design and execute incrementality studies and forecasting models that drive media investment decisions
- Set up data infrastructure for 3rd Party Agentic Analytics client pilots and build POV/recommendations briefs for GTM strategy
- Partner with the AI Agents team to make measurement models agentic: not expensive to build, run, or interface with
- Validate and improve existing deployed AI tools and mature MMM workflows serving current clients
- Train Media Effectiveness teams on 3rd Party Agentic Analytics setup, usage, and interpretation for their specific use cases
- Create client-ready deliverables: model outputs, insight summaries, and strategic recommendations
- Contribute to methodology standards and best practices that scale across the Data Science pillar
- Mentor junior data scientists on statistical rigor, model validation, and client communication
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data science with focus on marketing measurement, econometrics, or causal inference
- Deep expertise in Bayesian modeling (PyMC, Meridian, or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with production-grade code quality
- Experience building and deploying MMM, attribution, or incrementality solutions
- Track record of translating complex statistical outputs into clear business recommendations
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, media strategy)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Meridian or contribution to open-source measurement tools
- Background in media agency or adtech environment
- Experience deploying models as APIs or automated decision systems
- Familiarity with LLMs/AI agents and how they can interface with statistical models
- Experience training non-technical teams on analytical tools and outputs

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene
To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
