Job Description

  1. Align to PT Global tools strategy, Plant strategy & RO-IN strategy and Propose, Execute the strategy for achieving targets for the plant based on internal and customer expectation / requirements by ensuring QMS across value chain, problem solving and reliability incl. RPP, IDC & TDC.
  2. Establish & supervise regular interactions on progress of Q measures w.r.t customer quality topics (requirements, claim management etc.) with mapped management levels at suppliers & customers.
  3. Authorize and escalate quality concerns / risks to leadership team (as per escalation matrix) to seek appropriate management interventions / decisions.
  4. Plan and supervise annual quality reviews to drive organization mandates w.r.t RB Norms, customer requirements, ISO standards.
  5. Oversee Product, Process and System internal annual audit plan and specific process to achieve operational excellence.
  6. Assess and approve Quality gates for new product releases to ensure safe launch.
  7. Oversee investments and upkeep of the QM laboratories (inhouse and extended workbench) with the necessary calibrations & certifications to ensure all time availability and achieve pre-defined performance levels.
  8. Enable and coach Value stream in scaling Q metrics with appropriate skills and tools (Q mindset drive, Establishment of Quality academy, LPC, Line-walk, Quality dialogue etc.,)
  9. Foresee the quality management and competency requirements within the function based on current and future business trends in both direct & Indirect associates capability development.
  10. ▪Functional leadership and target responsibility of Business Unit MPP quality organization in AP
    ▪Assure fulfillment of global PT and Business Unit quality strategy in MPP segment.
    ▪Set quality targets for all MPP segments in alignment with Business Unit QMM and with BUL
    ▪Release of MPP products & processes out of Q-perspective, Release of products & processes out of Q-perspective for AP
    ▪Set Q-targets for new MPP products according to Business Unit target setting and track fulfillment (RUQ)
    ▪Contribute to quality improvements for quality top offender

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical or automotive engineering.
  • At least 10-15 years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years’ experience in quality management, people management, leading teams as Group head or Manager.
  • Proficient in problem solving methods (8D, Shainin, 6 Sigma analysis etc.) & execution.
  • Proficient in Manufacturing process, Value chain and Quality management system & methods, risk identification and mitigation
  • Proficient in topics related to Product liability, Compliance.
  • Certification on internal auditing is preferred.
