The Senior Manager works closely with our company's Consultants and Managers to support projects that drive positive outcomes for our clients. The Senior Manager also works directly with firm leaders to promote relationship management and client communication. They also monitor key processes, communicate with tax authorities to solve client issues, and maintain current knowledge of VAT-related topics in Europe. The senior manager demonstrates a high level of teamwork and responsibility, interacting thoughtfully with all levels of colleagues across the compliance department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops a global vision of operations of all clients in compliance practice.

  • Performs complex consulting research and prepares answers for clients.

  • Plans, organizes, allocates, and monitors the work of the team.

  • Coordinates teams and promotes good relationship with others.

  • Trains people on technical and soft skills and to motivate the team.

  • Leads team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

  • Defines goals and deadlines for the team's work and determines what work needs to be done achieve those goals.

  • Brings questions to appropriate supervisors when shared by clients.

  • Identifies priority tasks, taking into consideration the established deadlines under coordination of the supervisors.

  • Suggests solutions for situations, questions, and problems detected in the compliance tasks of the clients and knows where to get confirmation on appropriateness.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Law, Management or Economics.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.

  • Professional experience of at least 8 years in a multinational company/environment.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

No specific certificate or license.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor office environment.

  • Long periods of sitting while working at computer.

  • Occasional long periods of standing.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.

  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in person and via email and telephone.

  • Independent travel requirement: 5 – 10%
