KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own product strategy and roadmap for commercial workflows (quoting, rating & pricing, and booking) across air and ocean freight movements, including self-service capabilities for end customers.

Partner closely with engineering and design to translate deep domain knowledge of freight commercial operations (contract vs. spot rates, margin/markup logic, RFQ/RFP handling, quote-to-booking conversion) into enterprise-grade product requirements.

Evaluate and incorporate emerging technology (AI/ML and agentic approaches to quoting and dynamic pricing, real-time rate distribution, and evolving industry data standards) to keep the platform ahead of where the market is heading.

Run structured discovery with logistics operators and industry experts to validate and prioritize the roadmap.

Partner with commercial and go-to-market teams to ensure the roadmap reflects real buyer needs and competitive dynamics.

Define success metrics and drive the product from concept through launch and iteration

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

6+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise software, with a substantial portion focused on commercial/pricing systems for freight and logistics operators (quoting, rating, booking).

Prior experience as a Product Manager, at a logistics/freight technology provider, or within a large logistics company’s internal technology team, specifically on commercial or pricing systems.

Deep domain expertise: air/ ocean contract and spot rate management, RFQ/RFP handling, quote-to-booking conversion.

Strong customer engagement skills: comfortable running discovery, demos, and structured feedback sessions directly with senior logistics stakeholders, and translating that input into clear product decisions.

Strong technical fluency: comfortable working with APIs, rate engines, and system integrations, and translating them into clear product requirements.

Track record shipping enterprise software end-to-end, from discovery through launch and iteration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Fluency in emerging trends shaping freight commercial technology: AI/ML and agentic approaches to quoting and dynamic pricing, digital rate distribution and marketplace models, real-time carrier connectivity, and evolving industry data-exchange standards.

Experience designing products intended to scale and adapt as industry standards and buyer expectations evolve.

Familiarity with relevant industry bodies, standards, or trade associations in air/ocean freight.

MBA or technical background is a plus, not required.

SUCCESS METRICS (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)

Roadmap delivered against commitments for the commercial capability area; strong adoption and feedback from early customers.

Emerging-trend research and structured customer discovery reflected in concrete product and architecture decisions.
