Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager is a key member of Amtech’s Professional Services team, responsible for leading customer implementations and strategic internal initiatives. This role requires exceptional planning, communication, and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities effectively, and collaborates successfully with customers and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful delivery of multiple customer implementation projects.
- Create, manage, and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Execute project activities in accordance with Amtech’s implementation methodology.
- Facilitate project meetings and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Provide regular project status reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Forecast project hours, resource requirements, and project schedules.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within the scope of the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Drive continuous improvement across implementation methodologies and business processes.
- Develop and deliver presentations, project updates, and customer-facing proposals.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service delivery.
- Support organizational initiatives, including sales cycle support, operational improvements, and practice development.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Amtech’s solutions and the industries we serve.
- Mentor and support team members to enhance project management and implementation capabilities.
- Maintain targeted utilization goals.
- Assume people leadership and staff management responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with department leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, Development, Human Resources, Customer Success, and other departments to support organizational goals.
- 6+ years of professional services, project management, software implementation, or technology delivery experience.
- Proven success managing complex customer-facing projects.
- Experience leading geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
- Experience implementing ERP, MES, manufacturing, packaging, printing, or supply chain software solutions.
- Familiarity with SaaS and enterprise software delivery methodologies.
