About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead complex technology initiatives that support AGL's generation transition and major infrastructure construction programs. 

Working across technology domains, you'll be responsible for delivering technology outcomes that enable the construction, integration and operation of critical energy generation assets. 

Operating at a senior level, you'll provide delivery leadership in complex and evolving environments, establish effective governance, influence key decisions and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. 

As AGL builds 12GW of new renewable generation and firming by 2035, your ability to manage technically complex programs of work at scale and influence decision-making will be critical to AGL successfully delivering on its strategic commitments. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead complex technology initiatives supporting construction and infrastructure programs  

  • Establish repeatable delivery processes and governance practices that provide consistent delivery outcomes  

  • Build strong, enduring relationships with senior stakeholders across technology, engineering, construction and operations teams  

  • Provide strategic delivery advice, insights and recommendations to sponsors and governance forums  

  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies and vendor performance 

  • Lead delivery across technology teams including IT, OT, Cyber Security, Physical Security and others 

  • Drive integration, operational readiness and transition activities 

What you’ll bring 

  • Significant experience delivering complex technology infrastructure projects in enterprise, industrial or operational environments.  

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships with senior leaders, sponsors, vendors and delivery partners.  

  • Experience shaping governance, delivery controls and repeatable delivery practices that improve transparency, consistency and outcomes.  

  • Strong commercial and financial capability, including budget, vendor and risk management.  

  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, navigate competing priorities and maintain delivery confidence in complex environments.  

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including presenting risks, options and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
