Job DescriptionYou will work with an interdisciplinary and global R&D team dedicated to the research, development, and deployment of new statistical/ML/AI methodologies to support a range of NIQ products development and enhancements. We are looking for someone who can leverage advanced technologies – including statistical methods, machine learning, and artificial intelligence – to improve products and, coupled with strong analytical skills, successfully deliver on R&D tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research and development of new methodologies supporting NIQ product development and enhancements.
- Lead defined components of R&D initiatives—including problem formulation, solution design, documentation, and validation—under the guidance of senior ML/AI technical leaders.
- Maintain and optimize existing models to improve performance and maximize business impact.
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, and operations teams to deliver robust, production‑ready solutions, supporting deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Engage stakeholders to clarify objectives, scope, and data requirements, while effectively managing multiple workstreams and continuously strengthening technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong analytical capability and technical depth.
- Advanced proficiency in R and Python, with strong coding practices, including writing clean, well‑documented, and maintainable code.
- Solid experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in data science roles, with a focus on applied analytics and model development.
- Comfortable working in global, virtual teams using standard collaboration and development tools
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems with limited guidance.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively and present to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
