Job Profile:
Banyan is seeking a high-calibre Sales Operations Senior Analyst to join our Tech & Data Strategy team in Chennai, with a core focus on enabling our M&A and Business Development teams as we scale globally. This role is ideal for a strong individual contributor who enjoys owning complex work, operating close to the business, and building systems that support real decision-making.
As Banyan continues to grow, the demands placed on our Salesforce platform, supporting workflows, and underlying data structures are increasing in both volume and complexity. This role expands our capacity to meet those needs in a thoughtful and scalable way. You will work closely with onshore partners, co-owning initiatives that support M&A today, with increasing autonomy over time.
While the role is Salesforce-centric, we are looking for someone who is hands-on with adjacent systems and emerging technologies. Interest in AI-enabled tooling and automation is an important part of how this role will evolve as our tech and data landscape continues to change. This is a hands-on role for a doer and is well suited for someone who wants to work on complex, strategic problems in a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities:
- M&A Enablement: Own and evolve Salesforce workflows, data structures, and tooling that directly support the end-to-end M&A deal lifecycle, including sourcing, qualification, diligence, and pipeline management. Partner closely with M&A leadership to translate requirements into scalable system solutions. This role is primarily focused on M&A initiatives, while also supporting closely related BD backlog items as capacity allows.
- Salesforce Solution Design & Execution: Design, build, and enhance Sales Cloud functionality, including flows, automation, validation rules, and supporting configurations, while co-owning complex initiatives with onshore teammates.
- Automation & Workflow Development: Improve and extend operational workflows that support deal sourcing, qualification, pipeline management, and M&A-related activities, ensuring solutions balance speed, quality and long-term maintainability.
- Data Structure & Downstream Enablement: Improve data quality, consistency, and structure across core objects used by M&A and BD, building systems with downstream reporting, analytics and insight generation in mind.
- Project Delivery: Execute against a pipeline of projects, contribute to backlog refinement and prioritization, and participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborating within the Tech & Data Strategy team.
- Continuous Improvement: As business context deepens over time, identify opportunities to proactively improve systems, workflows, and data structures that support M&A and BD operations.
- Salesforce Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or Salesforce-focused roles, with strong hands-on experience administering, configuring, and automating Sales Cloud.
- Complex Solution Delivery: Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, cross-functional solutions rather than performing purely transactional or support-based work.
- M&A and BD Context: Experience supporting Business Development, Sales, or M&A-adjacent workflows, with an understanding of deal pipelines and related data requirements.
- Data & Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of data fundamentals and system design, with familiarity or working knowledge of SQL, data models, or analytics concepts considered a strong plus.
- Technology Curiosity: Keen interest in adjacent systems and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools and automation, and comfort learning new platforms as the technology landscape evolves.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional partners and distributed teams across time zones.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial data, company performance and research processes to support AI-driven initiatives across M&A and BD workflows.
- Ownership Mindset: Proven ability to take ownership of work, operate effectively within a coordinated team environment, and grow into greater autonomy over time.
- Education & Credentials: Salesforce Administrator certification required, with additional Salesforce certifications considered a plus. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
