SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with strong experience in Agile project delivery and hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA environments to facilitate our agile development process and help our cross-functional teams deliver high-quality products efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Scrum methodology and act as a servant leader to remove impediments, facilitate meetings, and coach team members in agile practices.
In addition to Scrum responsibilities, the candidate will also act as a Program Manager, collaborating closely with Enterprise Architects (EAs) to continuously shape project scope and define actionable next steps. Prior EA exposure is a strong plus, and experience working across cross-functional teams and multiple projects is essential.
What will you do:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coach and support team members in Scrum principles and agile practices
- Identify, track, and resolve team impediments impacting delivery
- Shield teams from external distractions and foster focus
- Work as a Program Manager in coordination with Enterprise Architects to give ongoing shape to project scope and determine next steps
- Engage across cross-functional teams and multiple projects to ensure alignment and delivery
- Drive estimation and forecasting for consistent, predictable delivery
- Collaborate with Product Owners to groom and prioritize backlogs
- Promote healthy team dynamics and resolve conflicts effectively
- Monitor and report team metrics; drive continuous improvement
- Coach stakeholders on engaging effectively with Scrum teams
- Champion engineering best practices across the team
- Foster self-organization and cross-functional collaboration
- Support enterprise-level agile transformation initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
- Proven experience in Agile delivery with hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA
- Experience in program management, working with EAs, and driving scope definition and next steps
- Deep knowledge of Scrum framework; familiarity with Kanban, SAFe, etc. is a plus
- Skilled in Agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Strong grasp of SDLC, DevOps, and Agile engineering practices
- Collaborate with Product Owners on SAP S/4HANA modules (FI, MM, SD, PP)
- Excellent communication, servant leadership, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
- Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Experience working with remote/distributed teams
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification (SAFe Scrum Master preferred) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional - Scrum Master (CSP-SM), PSM II/III, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or other Agile leadership certifications.
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Activate, S/4HANA modules) are a plus.
- Exposure to Enterprise Architecture frameworks and practices
- Experience in organizational change management and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Background in software development, quality assurance (QA), business analysis, or other technical roles.
