We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to validate high-performance home gateway routers and networking devices. The role involves testing Layer 2/3 forwarding protocols, developing automation for regression and performance testing, and ensuring robust functionality across WAN/LAN interfaces. The tester will collaborate with software teams to verify customer-specific use cases and contribute to the overall quality of advanced networking solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression, feature, and performance testing across networking platforms.
• Enhance and optimize test coverage by working with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Python, and PyTest.
• Maintain and manage multiple regression batches to ensure continuous and reliable test execution.
• Contribute to feature testing of Layer 2/3 Forwarding protocols, validating end‑to‑end service behaviour across networking devices.
• Perform detailed debugging using network tools such as Wireshark, packet capture, and log analysis to identify root causes across device and network layers.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering teams to ensure high‑quality software delivery and alignment with telecom standards.
• Graduate or Master’s degree in Engineering with 10–15 years of experience in testing and analysing high‑performance switching and routing software.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including GPON / XGSPON and various remote management protocols.
• Hands‑on experience in testing routers, gateways, or access points (APs) in large‑scale networking setups.
• Proficiency in automation scripting, with Python strongly preferred.
• Experience working with test frameworks such as Robot Framework and PyTest.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, MCAST, IPv6, and TR-069.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems for debugging, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Good analytical skills for identifying issues across device, software, and network layers.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities suitable for cross‑team collaboration.
• Familiarity with telecom standards and the typical network product development lifecycle.
It would be nice if you also had:
• Experience with network debugging tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, packet captures, and log analysis frameworks.
• Exposure to performance testing environments or large‑scale system test environments.
• Knowledge of AI‑based tools for enhancing automation and improving test efficiency.
