As a Shopify Architect, you will design and implement eCommerce solutions on the Shopify platform, collaborating with teams and ensuring performance and scalability.
The Bahwan Cybertek Group is seeking a Shopify Architect to join our offshore team. This role is essential in crafting robust and scalable eCommerce solutions that align with our clients' diverse business needs. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, architecture, and development best practices.
As a Shopify Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying eCommerce solutions using Shopify and related technologies. You will work alongside cross-functional teams, ensuring that our clients receive innovative and effective solutions that enhance their online presence and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Shopify projects, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and developers to deliver tailored eCommerce solutions that meet client requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, trends, and best practices to provide strategic recommendations for platform use.
- Ensure the quality of code through code reviews and best practices in software development.
- Develop custom themes and applications using Liquid templating language and Shopify’s API.
- Engage with clients to understand their business needs and propose effective eCommerce strategies.
- Document architecture designs, development processes, and configurations for future reference.
- Architect and develop scalable Shopify solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and maintainability.
- Lead the technical implementation of Shopify Plus, including custom theme development, app integrations, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (business, design, and development teams) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solution
- Integrate Shopify with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, and Marketing tools).
- Ensure compliance with best practices in security, performance, and accessibility.
- Mentor and guide developers on Shopify best practices and technical solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in eCommerce development, specifically with Shopify.
- Strong experience in Shopify architecture, theme customization, and Shopify App development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with external systems.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce websites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
