FLSmidth is seeking a Software Development Manager to manage a small team. The manager will be responsible for a team that delivers a cloud platform that enables asset health monitoring and industrial process analysis. Our platform is hosted in Microsoft Azure. We use off-the-shelf solutions like Grafana, C3.ai, and Seeq as well as our own front-end dashboard which is coded in React.

Your responsibilities

• Manage team of software engineers who are accountable for the research and development of industrial asset monitoring software and an IoT data connectivity platform

• Interact with internal stakeholders

• Mentor and develop your team while creating a workplace of openness and engagement

• Facilitate excellent documentation and architectural alignment

• Experience with React, Python, and general machine learning concepts is preferred. We realize that it is unlikely that a candidate has experience with all the technologies used in this role. A successful candidate will have a subset with a desire to work using them and experience that would support fast adoption.

What you bring:

• BE Computer Science or any Bachelor of Engineering background

• 7+ years of planning, developing, and delivering consumer software experience

• Experience partnering with product management teams

• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an industrial domain, preferably mining

• Experience leading developers in product development and deployment environment

• Experience with industrial sensors, embedded software, and containerized deployments
