Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:- Architect, develop, and maintain AR/VR/MR applications using Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Design and implement immersive learning modules for Android XR platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, HTC VIVE, Samsung Galaxy XR, XREAL, Magic Leap, handheld devices, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including instructional designers, 3D artists, and subject matter experts.
- Integrate immersive content with Learning Management Systems (LMS) using xAPI or SCORM.
- Implement AI-driven features such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning paths, and natural language interactions.
- Optimize applications for performance across various platforms and devices.
- Develop reusable code libraries and frameworks to accelerate development cycles.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions for immersive learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Technical Qualifications:Programming Languages:
- Advanced proficiency in C# (Unity) and/or C++ (Unreal Engine).
- Experience with JavaScript, Python, or Java for supporting tools or AI integration.
Game Engine Expertise:
- Deep experience with Unity (URP/HDRP, XR Interaction Toolkit, AR Foundation) or Unreal Engine (Blueprints and C++).
- Shader programming, animation systems, and physics integration.
Android XR Development:
- Experience building and deploying XR applications on Android-based headsets (e.g., Meta Quest, HTC VIVE, Samsung Galaxy XR, Magic Leap, etc.).
- Familiarity with Android SDK, NDK, and OpenXR.
AI Integration:
- Experience integrating AI models for voice recognition, gesture tracking, or adaptive learning.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud-based AI services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, AWS AI/ML).
3D & Spatial Computing:
- Strong understanding of 3D math, spatial mapping, occlusion, and coordinate systems.
Systems & Tools:
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, RTC).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for AR/VR builds.
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS) for content hosting and analytics.
Integration & Interoperability:
- Experience integrating with LMS platforms, xAPI, SCORM, and backend APIs.
- Knowledge of networking and multiplayer frameworks for collaborative XR experiences.
- Understanding of 3D modeling and animation tools (e.g., Blender, 3ds max, Maya, etc.).
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles for immersive environments.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Contributions to open-source AR/VR/XR projects or immersive learning communities.
- Experience with AI-driven storytelling or virtual agents in XR.
