You’ll get to play a key role in building the platform that powers communication on Toast’s MyToast mobile app for restaurant employees - where they engage with their schedule, pay and team management which ultimately contributes to the success of every restaurant using MyToast.
About this roll*:
As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will:
- Work with fellow developers, product managers, and designers, to build amazing communication platform features with a goal of increasing our consumer footprint at Toast and employee engagement within restaurants
- Work on challenging projects in a supportive team environment with various opportunities for cross-team collaboration
- Ship code that has a massive impact on the growth of Toast
- Experiment directly with restaurant employees for quick feedback on features and projects
Do you have the right ingredients*?
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Java, Kotlin or other object oriented language(s)
- Proficient with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. React, TypeScript, REST, GraphQL)
- Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices
- Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production
- Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
- Passionate about technology and learning new things
- Desire to make continuous improvements to teams and technology
- You are not afraid to tackle big problems and ask insightful questions.
