Job Description:
Internship Duration: 6 Months
Location: Chennai – Chetpet
Poshmark is looking for a Web Engineer Intern who is passionate about building clean, user-friendly web applications. This internship offers hands-on experience working on production-grade systems that impact millions of users. You’ll collaborate with a talented engineering team, receive mentorship, and contribute to real features while learning modern web development practices at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing web application features that enhance the Poshmark user experience.
- Write scalable, high-performance, and maintainable code using modern web technologies.
- Work with web frameworks and technologies involving frontend, databases, and caching layers.
- Support performance tuning and optimization of web applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings to learn best practices.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Basic experience or academic exposure to web development (projects, coursework, or internships).
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus:
- Node.js, React, Vue, Angular,
- NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and build user-focused applications.
