- Write complex, maintainable, and high‑quality code to develop scalable, flexible, and user‑friendly applications using Java (Java 17+), Spring Boot, and cloud architecture.
- Design and build highly available, low‑latency, cloud‑native services using Spring Web (MVC/WebFlux) and microservices best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and best practices.
- Integrate and expose RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger; consume external services; implement idempotency, pagination, and error handling patterns.
- Participate end-to-end in the SDLC—design, development, testing, deployment, and production support—with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Ensure quality via unit/integration tests, code coverage, and performance testing, adhering to secure and scalable design principles.
- Implement observability with structured logging, metrics and tracing; integrate with Datadog, or Graylog.
- Contribute to CI/CD using pipelines for build, test, coverage, security scans, and deployments.
- Continuously learn and apply modern frameworks, patterns, and best practices to improve system performance and developer productivity.
- 3+ years of applicable software engineering experience in backend or cloud-native application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (Spring Web, Spring Data, Spring Validation; WebFlux is a plus).
- Familiarity with Java GenAI/agent frameworks such as LangChain4j and Spring AI; experience integrating Azure OpenAI or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs; proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, and API versioning standards.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MS SQL Server); experience with JPA/Hibernate and Spring Data; skilled in query tuning and transaction management.
- Experience with message queues/streams (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent).
- Testing & quality: JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers (nice to have), JaCoCo coverage; SonarQube or equivalent for static analysis.
- Observability: Micrometer, OpenTelemetry; hands-on with ELK, Splunk, Datadog, or Graylog.
- CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins pipelines (build, deploy, test, coverage, and quality gates); build tools Maven/Gradle.
- Cloud & containers: Docker; exposure to Azure (AKS, ACR, Azure App Service, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics). Azure OpenAI exposure is a plus.
- Security: Spring Security, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT; awareness of OWASP best practices.
- Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
