Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Six to eight years of relevant technical experience - Five or more years of leading a software engineering team Preferred Skills/Experience - Complete understanding of the team's domain and drives the team's objectives and deliverables with an understanding of adjacent teams' business domains - Complete understanding of a feature, the users impacted, the flows impacted and feature's purpose - Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of business strategy and how the technical and engineering strategy aligns to this - Advanced knowledge of information systems technology and software development processes and tools, especially industry specific applications - Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures - Strong analytical, product management, tactical planning and leadership skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to communicate with all parties involved in the product team (engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors, customers, etc.) - Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills/Experience
Pega certified system architect (CSSA) or higher strongly preferred
Strong experience leading delivery on the Pega platform (PRPC / Infinity), including case management, workflows, and decisioning frameworks
Proven ability to manage Pega-based enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to guardrails, performance standards, and governance practices
Ability to coach and recommend appropriate Pega development approaches when multiple options exist, and clearly articulate why the selected method supports long-term system stability, scalability, and maintainability.
Familiarity with Pega DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment models (AWS/Azure/Kubernetes)
Ability to mentor teams on Pega architecture, design patterns, and certification progression (CSA, CSSA, LSA)
