We are looking for a proactive SQA Engineer to test and validate embedded software for Home Gateway products built on prplOS and supporting prplMesh. You'll be part of a fast-paced QA team responsible for ensuring high quality of networking features and mesh connectivity. 

Responsibilities 

  • Execute test plans for Wi-Fi mesh functionality, device provisioning, and remote management protocols. 

  • Perform manual and automated testing of prplOS-based gateways and mesh nodes. 

  • Validate connectivity, performance (throughput, latency), roaming, and steering behavior in mesh networks. 

  • Capture and analyze logs using Linux CLI and Wireshark to troubleshoot issues. 

  • Participate in test automation development and CI/CD integration. 

  • Report bugs using Jira and collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve them. 

  • Support interoperability and regression testing with reference mesh devices and controllers. 

Requirements 

  • 1–3 years of experience in embedded or networking QA (internship experience counts). 

  • Basic understanding of networking stack, Wi-Fi networking, EasyMesh, and TR-181/TR-069 is a plus. 

  • Comfortable with Linux command line, network tools (ping, traceroute, iperf), and scripting (Python preferred). 

  • Experience to OpenWRT-based systems or custom firmware testing is a strong advantage. 

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a passion for networking technologies.
