We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in building robust web applications using PHP (5+), Smarty Template Engine, and CodeIgniter Framework. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development skills and experience working with dynamic UI components, APIs, and databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP 5+, CodeIgniter, and Smarty Templates.
- Build dynamic and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, and Datatables.js.
- Integrate and manage Google Maps API v3 for location-based features.
- Develop and optimize database queries using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive designs using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and Bootstrap 4.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document development processes and technical specifications.
Required Skills:
Backend: PHP 5+, CodeIgniter Framework, Smarty Template Engine.
Frontend: JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, Datatables.js, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap 4.
API Integration: Google Maps API v3
Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful services
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Good to Have:
- Familiarity with newer PHP versions (7.x/8.x)
- Basic knowledge of deployment and server management.
- Experience in working with legacy codebases and upgrading them.
