Scope
- We are building a highly resilient and scalable world-class Warehouse Management System (WMS) SaaS product, utilizing modern technologies.
- As a Senior Enterprise Performance Architect, you will play a crucial role in guiding the team, ensuring optimal application performance, identifying potential bottlenecks, and driving enterprise-level performance strategies.
Our Current Technical Environment
- Cloud: Azure (preferred) or GCP, AWS, or another cloud service provider
- Database: MongoDB
- Monitoring & Observability tools: Azure Insights, ELK,
- Containerization: Kubernetes
- Streaming Technologies: Kafka, EventHub
- API: REST APIs
- Programming languages: Java, Python (good to have)
- Performance testing tools: Gatling (mandatory),
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) testing tools: Experience with HA/DR testing and relevant tools is required
What You'll Do
- Lead and guide the Performance Engineering team in all activities at an enterprise level, driving strategic initiatives to enhance system scalability and reliability.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best practices in performance engineering.
- Design and develop complex test scripts for performance, integration, and longevity/endurance testing, ensuring robust test coverage for critical workloads.
- Independently execute full-fledged performance tests, analyze trends, and optimize workload models to achieve optimal system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across large-scale distributed systems, leveraging in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, databases, and application architecture.
- Carry out performance tuning activities across databases, applications, and infrastructure, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Analyze performance test results, log defects, and share actionable insights with engineering and leadership teams to drive performance optimization.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of thread dumps, GC logs, heap dumps, and other diagnostic data to identify and resolve complex performance issues.
- Prepare and review detailed performance test reports with clear insights and recommendations for architectural and infrastructural improvements.
- Define and implement enterprise-wide performance testing strategies, developing frameworks to assess risk and mitigate performance-related challenges.
- Develop and maintain custom test automation utilities and frameworks, enabling efficient and scalable performance testing.
- Support enterprise capacity planning, performance tuning, and system recommendations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) for evaluating and introducing new performance testing and observability tools, driving innovation in performance engineering.
- Review and refine engineering practices, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and performance engineering principles.
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide checklists and governance frameworks for test preparation, execution, and monitoring, improving testing effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (developers, SRE, AS&S, and support) to drive performance excellence across WMS, ensuring a seamless and optimized user experience.
What We Are Looking For
- 15-19 years of experience in performance engineering, with enterprise-level architecture expertise.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or technology
- Below are skill which we are looking for this role:
- Required Mandatory Skills:
- Expert in Gatling
- Experience with HA/DR testing and relevant tools
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB
- Strong expertise in Windows/Linux/Unix environments
- Hands-on experience with ELK stack
- Experience with Kafka/EventHub
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience with Azure (preferred), GCP, AWS, or another cloud service provider
- Supply Chain/Warehouse Management System domain knowledge
- Python/R scripting (good to have)
- It is good to have Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
