Job Description

  • Architect and sustain REST APIs and front-end UI components for robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant web applications.

  • Design and implement new features, enhancements, and modifications to existing software, strictly adhering to design specifications, security protocols, and best practices.

  • Navigate all phases of the software development lifecycle, delivering high-quality software independently.

  • Elevate coding standards, actively participate in code reviews, and refactor code as necessary.

  • Collaborate with test engineers and operations teams to diagnose and resolve issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks in a clear and timely manner.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring the prompt delivery of high-caliber code.

  • Stay abreast of corporate training and continuously expand your knowledge of new technologies and processes.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
* 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
* Full stack development experience with REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices.
* Proficient in back-end technologies: Java (Spring, Spring Boot), Python or Golang.
* Rich front-end development experience with Angular/React JS, Node.JS.
* Solid understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms).
* Hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL databases. Proficient in writing and understanding simple and complex SQL.
* Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control, build processes, testing, and code release.
* AI and generative AI skills are highly desirable.
* Strong Agile development experience, including CI/CD with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, and Sonar.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
* Team-oriented, curious, creative, and a quick learner.
* Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
* Experience with Unix/Linux environments and Agile methodologies like Scrum
* Payment processing background is a plus.
