About the role

As a Staff Engineer in DevOps, you will play a critical role in optimizing our development workflows, automating infrastructure provisioning, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across development and operations teams.

Role Expectations

  • Architecting, implementing, and supporting end-to-end CI/CD systems using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to provision, configure, and manage cloud-based resources.
  • Establish robust monitoring and logging mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or New Relic to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for infrastructure and application security, including vulnerability scanning, access controls, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
  • Collaborate closely with team members across the company to continuously innovate Devops strategy based on their evolving needs.
  • Document and evangelize architecture proposals & standard methodologies, drive decisions, and technically lead a team of brilliant engineers to implement impactful solutions.
  • Driving automation to monitor and gain more insight into applications and system health.
  • Identifying problem areas within the current software systems and crafting efficient solutions
  • Develop, improve, and maintain our infrastructure codebase.
  • Craft and implement critical metrics using various analytics methods and dashboards

IMPORTANT : Please note that this is a 100% hands-on role. Our assessment process focuses on this. Please excuse us if you cannot demonstrate deep dive hands-on skills. 

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience 10+ years in a DevOps role.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies, with hands-on experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and configuration management.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and related services, with experience in architecting and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in IaC languages like Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tooling development.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile Methodologies

Good to have skills

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Jenkins Engineer are a plus.
  • Programming knowledge of Java or any other comparable language will be an added advantage.
