The opportunity:
You will be a part of the GA Secondary team and support the execution of Protection and Control engineering. Your work involves mainly creating IED Configuration files, Test Procedure, Create Test Template files and travel to site and support the FAT and SAT. Addition to this, creating electrical circuit diagrams and supporting documents validating against to scope documents. We use the AutoCAD Electrical tool for generating the sche matics. You will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasks as per the given inputs and when re quired need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to com plete the task. In the absence of your Lead or in some cases, you will be required to interact with our counterparts to get/clarify queries. You may also interact with other departments like Primary, Project Man agement, and Production.
How you’ll make an impact:
Preparation of Single Line Diagram/Protection Single Line Diagram.
Preparation of Trip Matrix and IO Signal list.
Preparation of IEDs configuration files.
Preparation of Panel and IEDs test procedure and test reports.
Preparation of Test template files for each type of IEDs.
Responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting of Bay level secondary equipment’s
Preparation of Protection and Control Panel schematics for Medium/High Voltage Substation.
Preparation of Interlocking table and schematics for various Busbar configurations.
Addressing the technical queries raised by the customer during the execution of a project, if required.
Interaction with various cross-function teams like Primary, Project Management, and Production, when required.
Self-reviewing the documents before submitting them to Lead Engineer.
Generating Preliminary BOM by understanding the importance and consequences of releasing it.
Understanding and preparation of Communication Architecture diagrams. Preparation of protection schematics (Trafo, Line, Busbar) when we’ve integrated protection in LCC . Selection of Bay Control Unit and other protection IEDs.
Preparation of complete Digital Control & Protection drawings as part of Digital Substation (with NCITs, MU’s, SAM600 modules, etc...).
Adhering to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Must have 5 -8 years of experience. Excellent knowledge in IEDs configuration and testing.
Very Good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen.
Willing to travel for site testing and commissioning activities.
Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc...
knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical tools is added advantage.
Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
