Leads the Auxiliary Seal System Order Engineering team and oversees end-to-end technical execution, including requirements review, system design, documentation, manufacturing support, change control, and order closeout. Supervises workload allocation, delivery, quality, resource utilization, and employee development. Coordinates globally with engineering, sales, project management, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical and schedule issues while ensuring compliant, manufacturable, cost-effective deliverables.
Role PurposeLead and supervise the Auxiliary Seal System Order Engineering team responsible for the technical execution of engineered seal support system orders. The role ensures that customer and business-unit requirements are translated into accurate, compliant, manufacturable, and cost-effective engineering deliverables. It provides technical and people leadership across order review, system design, documentation, manufacturing support, and global coordination while driving on-time delivery, quality, resource utilization, continuous improvement, employee development, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering execution for system orders, from technical handover and requirement review through design release, manufacturing support, documentation, and order closeout.
- Plan, assign, prioritize, and monitor engineering work based on order complexity, schedule commitments, engineer capability, and available capacity.
- Ensure engineered seal support systems, piping arrangements, instrumentation, components, and related documentation meet contractual, technical, safety, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
- Coordinate with global business units, application engineering, project management, sales, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and suppliers to resolve technical and schedule issues promptly.
- Monitor order progress, identify risks and constraints early, implement recovery actions, and communicate status and escalation needs to stakeholders.
- Maintain effective control of revisions, customer comments, technical deviations, approvals, and engineering records throughout the order lifecycle.
- Promote customer-focused execution and ensure technical commitments are met with the required quality and delivery performance.
- Strong working knowledge of engineered auxiliary seal support systems, including piping plans, reservoirs, coolers, filters, accumulators, instrumentation, valves, tubing, piping, and associated mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, process and instrumentation diagrams, general arrangement drawings, equipment data sheets, material requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Practical capability in order engineering, system configuration, component selection, design review, detailing, bill-of-material preparation, and engineering change control.
- Sound understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, fabrication methods, welding, pressure-containing equipment, tolerances, GD&T, inspection, testing, and design for manufacturability.
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings and models, together with effective use of CPQ, PLM, and ERP systems for configuration, document control, material definition, and order execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, presentations, and other business tools used for planning, analysis, performance reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Working knowledge of relevant internal procedures and recognized international engineering, quality, and safety standards.
- Provide clear direction, daily supervision, technical guidance, motivation, and coaching to order-engineering team members.
- Allocate work according to competency, workload, priority, and development needs while maintaining balanced utilization across the team.
- Set performance expectations and review progress against delivery, quality, productivity, utilization, and behavioral objectives.
- Build team capability through structured mentoring, technical reviews, knowledge sharing, cross-training, and individual development plans.
- Support onboarding of new employees by ensuring timely access to required tools, systems, processes, standards, and technical resources.
- Conduct regular one-to-one discussions, provide timely feedback, recognize strong performance, and address performance or conduct concerns in accordance with company practices.
- Support performance and pay-review processes in coordination with the Engineering Manager / GTEC Leader.

- Typically, 10 or more years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in auxiliary seal systems, mechanical seals, pumps, valves, pressure systems, packaged equipment, or a closely related engineered-product environment.
- Substantial experience in order engineering, product engineering, original-equipment engineering, applications engineering, or project-based technical execution.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or technically coordinating an engineering team in a global or cross-functional organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and time zones.
