Role Summary:    
▪ Focus to build competent engineers in both technical & professional and guide them to meet & exceed their performance metrics to support Flowserve organization. 
▪ Provide guidelines to the individual contributors in GTEC & manage them effectively to achieve business targets. 
▪ Have strong collaboration with global business units engineering leaders; understand their needs and expectations drive the GTEC team to deliver the same. 
▪ Support GTEC leadership to drive performance culture within their team and extend the mentoring process to the ▪ associates. 
▪ Manage and lead by example to inspire the team to grow in Flowserve with strong engineering & technical capabilities. 
▪ Ensure to adapt to Flowserve culture and meet the requirement of leadership and functional competencies. 

Responsibilities   
▪ Instruct, direct, motivate and monitor the performance of all team members. Supervising day-to-day activities and work of team members, job allocations based on their skill sets.   
▪ Management of all engineering and supporting activities for the global business units and making sure the technical fulfilment & engineering projects are met, effective utilization of available resources. Encourage the business unit to  
give feedback on submitted assignments and perform the root cause analysis for the delayed submissions & quality errors.    
▪ Support manufacturing through design for manufacturing technics to ensure that quality products are produced at minimal efficient cost.   
▪ Review and approve the work done by the team and work closely with the engineers, guiding, motivating, and coaching them to meet the business expectations.   
▪ Collaborate with BU and GTEC Engineers to improve customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement. 
▪ Work closely with the management on training and development opportunities for the team members. 
▪ Ensure the comfort of the team members in handling the tools and software needed and maintain performance metrics (OTD, KQI, and utilization) for the respective business units/ assignments responsible as per the goals and objectives. 
▪ Maintain general discipline and good conduct of the team members. 
▪ Work with the immediate manager to perform the performance review and pay review for the team by adhering to the ▪ performance culture. 
▪ Drive continuous improvement process culture across the team in collaboration with the business units. 
▪ Ensure that new product development projects are executed to achieve the cost and schedule objectives. 
▪ Build a good mentoring mechanism that helps new employees to get the required tools/systems on time and settle down faster. 
▪ Keep track of BU Forecasted hours and GTEC processed hours to keep the BU usage to 100% if it is less then work with BU to improve usage. 

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  •  Industrial experience of 10+ years preferably in Seal and Auxiliary systems/Pumps/Valves with good knowledge of industrial practices & standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Presentation, 
  • Proficiency in CAD, CPQ, PLM, and ERP tools,
  • knowledge of Designing & detailing, GD&T.
  • Experience in Product design, OE and/or product engineering, and applications knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal and international standards
