Support supplier quality by implementing quality control programs, conducting audits, facilitating problem solving, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing.
Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities :
- Performing Supplier Quality Audit / product and process audits, Supplier Evaluation and Re-evaluation audits as per the schedule.
- Supplier Approvals (existing supplier approval status and new part qualification) Supplier FPAPs
- Develop, coach and champion supplier quality team on Quality procedures, tools, and techniques
- Develop and execute plans to improve our supplier quality, delivery, and costs on a continuous manner
- Develop supplier's capabilities of manufacturing for consistent and repeatable quality, such as step-by-step SOP ,risk analysis and mitigation.
- Analysis of quality issues observed at Supplier end or Inhouse Manufacturing and support for resolution and process improvement & supplier Quality Performance.
- Drive NCR management through proper engagement with supplier and review of Root cause and Corrective actions .
- Lead, facilitate and coach Problem Solving (RCA/CA/PA) for the facility through Analyzing trends resulting from Statistical Data and propose suggestions/recommendations for process & Detection corrective actions.
- Work with key suppliers to develop a lean culture that drives continuous improvement in quality.
- Seek and utilize knowledge of the supplier quality engineering professional, including quality systems, technologies, and statistical tools
- Report Key Monthly KPI for Supplier Quality which includes First Pass acceptance , Supplier NCR , Supplier Performance.
- Conduct Monthly lesson learnt with team basis the issues ,Key catches and escapes reported from Supplier inspection personnel.
- Familiar with ISO 9001: 2015 QMS , Material standards, API standards, ISO standards.
- Drive internal and external audits and conduct as required during problem analysis
- Interact & communicate with customer, supplier & other functional areas including manufacturing, purchasing, production, and field service/repair to support on quality issues plus resolution of any problems.
Requirement :
- BE Mech with 8-10 yrs experience in Quality preferably in Pump's , Valves or any other OEM environment
- Knowledge on requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, API SPEC Q1 & API Monogram.
- Internal / Lead auditor in QMS, EMS and OHSAS
- Proficient in Data analysis tools & techniques, corrective action request management, RCA and CAPA tools.
- Good Proficiency in Microsoft Office, English & Fluent in business conversation, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
- Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of know Industrial Improvement techniques like Kaizen, Lean- Sigma, PFMEA, 8D , statistical analysis.
