What does a successful Lead Tester do at Fiserv ?

• Execute System Integration, User Acceptance Testing for Vision Plus products.
• Preparation of Functional Test Scope, Development Impact Assessment for Regression
• Identifying Defects and creating tickets in JIRA and Service Point
• Participate in Defect calls to discuss on Open tickets with Build Developers and Batch team operation
• Interactive testing with Developers for trouble shooting the ticket
• Create and evaluate test cases for accuracy and applicability for products under test.
• Communicate testing progress through creating and maintaining test plans.
• Find bugs and validate specifications through black box testing techniques (like test matrices, combination testing, and risk analysis)
• Develop automated tests with the appropriate technologies.w
• Design and implement tools that improve efficiency in manual testing.       

What you will do:

• Conduct testing activities including test planning, execution, and closure.
• Define goals and objectives for the QA team.
• Ensure continuous improvement by regularly cross-training peers across technologies.
• Set and manage metrics for proper test data management to avoid inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
• Implement and adopt stable strategies from different portfolios and business units.
• Automate maximum regression cases using Utilities.
• Use sprint/release metrics (defect trends, automation coverage, cycle time) to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive continuous testing by expanding automation coverage and integrating regression/smoke suites into CI/CD where applicable.
• Collaborate with Product Owner/Business during backlog refinement to ensure requirements are testable and acceptance criteria are clear (shift-left).
• Own QA deliverables within Agile/Scrum sprints, aligning test strategy, execution, and sign-off to the Definition of Done.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor Degree or Engineering with equivalent work experience
• Experience in major VisionPlus modules such as CMS, FAS, TRAMS, ITS, LMS and VMx.
• Proven experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools.
• Solid understanding of AWS Cloud Applications and Mainframe Utilities.
• Excellent skills in defining goals, objectives, and setting metrics for QA processes.
• Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to estimate testing efforts, perform risk-based testing, and manage commitments within sprint capacity.
• Experience with Agile ALM tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence) for story/defect tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Proven experience working in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) and delivering quality in time-boxed iterations.

What would be great to have:

• Experience with implementing and utilizing API testing.
• Knowledge of VISA/Mastercard/Amex Simulators.
• Proven track record of improving ROI through strategic test automation initiatives.
• Strong grasp of various QA methodologies and ability to adapt strategies from different portfolios and business units.
• Exposure to BDD/TDD collaboration patterns and using fast feedback loops to reduce defect leakage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD quality gates, test reporting, and maintaining automation suites as part of the delivery pipeline.
• Experience supporting Agile at scale or coordinating QA across multiple squads/portfolios.
