We are seeking IP back office engineer - Fixed Network to join our team in Noida, India. In this role, you will handle Fixed Network (Core and Access) operations ensuring uninterrupted service availability for Broadband and Enterprise nodes in a multi-vendor environment. You will act as 2nd line support engineer, providing solutions for alarm monitoring, hardware/software/configuration issues, and outage support while maintaining strict adherence to SLAs, compliance, and customer experience.
This role requires strong technical expertise, Coordination skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders including customers, third-party providers, and internal teams.
What you will do
• Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of Broadband & Enterprise Services and Networks.• Drive and govern Preventive & Corrective Maintenance across Broadband & Enterprise layers.• Conduct network performance analysis, investigate anomalies, and recommend optimization measures.• Handle Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities for IP nodes, including: • Routers (multi-vendor)• Switches (multi-vendor)• Firewalls (multi-vendor)• Load Balancers (multi-vendor)• XGS-PON- OLT & BNG• DSLAM/BRAS • Cable Modem and CMTS • Execute and support Change Request (CR) implementation, ensuring minimal service impact and adherence to change management processes.• Lead troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and resolution across hardware, software, and configuration issues.• Collaborate with customers, MSIP and Vendors for quick resolution.• Manage escalations, outages, and high-priority incidents with structured communication.• Engage in automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.• Contribute to Network Strategy, Transformation, and Digitalization initiatives.
The skills you bring
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.• Strong knowledge of IP networking protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, BGP-LU, MPLS, Inter-AS, LDP, RSVP, Traffic Engineering (TE), L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, and Segment Routing. • Good understanding of switching technologies including Docsis, DSL, XGS-PON, VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and HSRP. • Hands-on knowledge of IP security protocols and technologies such as IPSEC, GRE, VPN, and CGNAT. • Experience with Cisco technologies, Spine-Leaf Architecture, Border-Leaf Architecture, and VXLAN deployments. • Good understanding of Fixed technologies including Docsis, FTTH, XGS-PON etc. • Product/vendor expertise in Cisco (mandatory), Nokia and Juniper while Ericsson knowledge will be an added advantage. • Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle critical network issues effectively. • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the IP Networking domain.• Familiarity with multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei, etc.).• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, fault management, and performance tools.• Excellent customer service, stakeholder management, and communication skills.• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and lead during crises.• Self-motivated, proactive, result-oriented with strong leadership qualities.• Excellent time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.• Skills in tracing & decoding customer complaints.• Tenacity, perseverance, and flexibility in working hours.• Fluent in English (other languages beneficial).• Developed skills in knowledge sharing and creating a learning culture.
