Technical Program Manager 

Experience: 10+ Years (Minimum 5 years in Project Management + 2 years in Program Management)

Location: Remote / Any Location in India

Role Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Budget: Up to ₹180,000 per month

Shift: As per business requirement (global collaboration)


Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead highly complex, cross-functional engineering programs within logistics and trade technology systems. This role demands technical acumen, program leadership, risk management, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams working across integrated platforms.

The ideal candidate possesses strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, AWS, and the data flow across distributed systems, along with proven program management expertise.


Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Governance
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of engineering programs from planning through deployment.

  • Define program roadmaps, drive quarterly planning, align capacity, and ensure governance.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, DevOps, architecture, and product.


Technical Understanding & Systems Flow
  • Understand data flow across microservices, backend systems, and integration layers.

  • Identify technical dependencies, risks, and architectural limitations; propose mitigation plans.

  • Participate in technical discussions to support engineering teams in resolving bottlenecks.

Execution & Delivery Oversight
  • Track delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time) for continuous improvement.

  • Drive effort estimation, dependency mapping, task planning, and milestone tracking.

  • Remove blockers proactively and maintain execution predictability.


Release Management
  • Own the complete release management lifecycle—release readiness, documentation, deployment plans, and hypercare.

  • Ensure stable, risk-aware, and process-driven release cycles across environments.

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with product managers, engineering leads, architects, and business partners.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide clear and structured program updates, dashboards, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • Communicate alignment, trade-offs, and priorities across globally distributed teams.

Required Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years in technology roles with demonstrated program delivery experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management and 2+ years of Program Management.

  • Strong technical understanding of:

    • Java, Spring Boot

    • Microservices architecture

    • Kafka event streaming

    • AWS cloud infrastructure

  • Experience in:

    • Program planning & execution

    • Risk & dependency management

    • Release management

    • Effort estimation, resource alignment

  • Proven ability to manage integration-heavy programs at scale.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics, trade, supply chain, or related technology domains.

  • Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps processes, monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Professional certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe, etc.) are advantageous.
