KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the thermodynamic design and development of Chiller and Data Center Cooling products.
  • Perform heat-load, refrigeration-cycle, component-sizing, pressure-drop, and product-performance calculations.
  • Select and evaluate key refrigeration and hydronic components, including compressors, heat exchangers, expansion devices, pumps, valves, and fans.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, calculation files, performance data, and engineering documentation.
  • Support global NPDI programs from concept definition through product launch.
  • Provide engineering support for engineered-to-order solutions based on proven product platforms.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Electrical, Controls, Validation, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Product Management teams.
  • Define test requirements, support laboratory testing, analyze results, and contribute to design verification activities.
  • Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support cost optimization, product standardization, reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable internal requirements, technical standards, and product specifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, Chiller, or Thermal Management product development.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
  • Ability to perform component sizing and system-performance calculations.
  • Experience analyzing test data and resolving thermal or refrigeration-system issues.
  • Working knowledge of technical drawings, product specifications, and Bills of Materials.
  • Understanding of product-development and engineering change-management processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in global, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with air-cooled or water-cooled Chillers, CRAH, CRAC, heat pumps, or Data Center Cooling products.
  • Familiarity with refrigerant regulations, safety requirements, and HVAC product standards.
  • Experience with thermodynamic simulation, selection, or performance-analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting laboratory validation and NPDI programs.
  • Basic familiarity with CAD and PLM systems.
