Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled VisionPLUS Developer to join our team and drive the design and development of software solutions within the VisionPLUS framework. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective resolution of production and UAT incidents and delivering high-quality solutions that align with our business objectives. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing application performance and providing technical guidance across multiple teams.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
- VisionPLUS modules (CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, VMx)
- Mainframe technologies: JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and CICS
Preferred Software Proficiency:
- Vision Flex experience
Overall Responsibilities
- Monitor and provide solutions for production and UAT incidents.
- Independently solve issues related to VisionPLUS sub-systems (CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, VMx).
- Collaborate with multiple teams to offer technical solutions to complex business problems.
- Develop solution design documents based on client requirements.
- Provide functional and technical guidance to Business Analysts and Developers.
- Assist in resolving complex issues during implementation, testing, and production.
- Aid in solution implementation and stabilization.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of all VisionPLUS subsystems and batch processing.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
- Essential: COBOL
- Preferred: Familiarity with additional mainframe languages
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Essential: Experience with JCL, VSAM, CICS
- Preferred: Familiarity with Vision Flex
- Methodologies: Waterfall, Agile Scrum, Agile Kanban
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in VisionPLUS development.
- Proven experience in addressing and resolving issues in VisionPLUS applications.
- Experience with industry methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum, and Agile Kanban.
- Alternative pathways include roles with similar expertise in mainframe technologies and VisionPLUS modules.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Address production and UAT incidents in VisionPLUS applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and solve complex business challenges.
- Develop and maintain solution design documents.
- Participate in regular meetings to align on project objectives and deliverables.
- Exercise decision-making authority in technical solutions and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
