Lead the design and development of WordPress and Adobe Commerce websites, focusing on both front-end and back-end architecture, as well as project management and client training.
WordPress Developer Lead Responsibilities:
- Meeting with PO and TPM to discuss website design and function.
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Creating the website architecture.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress custom themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Troubleshooting data issues
- Ability to automate product data handling for ecommerce sites e.g. uploads, delete and publish product pages
- Conducting WordPress training with the client.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
WordPress Developer Lead Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- 5 years experience with Adobe Commerce
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Good communication skills.
