Job Description
As a Workplace Technologies Software Engineer you will be part of an agile DevOps team. You will support maintenance of existing tools, incubate and develop new tools, and automate/augment functionality of off-the-shelf products to remove any friction for users to collaborate, connect, and communicate effectively.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations:
Design, develop, and maintain user friendly web and mobile applications.
Create and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and backend systems.
Document features, APIs, and workflows to enhance team knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:
Expertise in developing hybrid mobile applications using Ionic framework.
Experience with developing Google Chrome Extension and web apps.
Hands-on experience with programming languages like Angular, TypeScript, PHP, JAVA.
Understanding of security best practices in web and mobile application development.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
Familiarity with build pipelines and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Android Studio, and Xcode.
Able to keep up your technical know-how and via research, online learning and/or rapid prototyping.
Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Experience with front-end development using Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python.
Experience with SQL databases and designs.
