Manages science and technology initiatives for sustainable industrial fisheries. Leads multidisciplinary projects involving electronic monitoring, AI, machine learning, computer vision, data systems, hardware, software deployment, and seafood traceability. Oversees vendors, contractors, budgets, procurements, technical assessments, and deployment of systems in remote environments. Translates technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and supports technology evaluation, scaling, and conservation strategy. The role may require domestic and international travel of 25% or more.

The Associate Director will help build and lead a global agriculture finance initiative focused on sustainable, deforestation-free food systems. Responsibilities include developing strategic initiatives, leading complex projects, negotiating agreements, coordinating with global teams and external partners, and engaging financial institutions, investors, and agribusiness stakeholders. The role requires sophisticated financial, economic, analytical, communication, and project management expertise, with emphasis on scaling innovative finance solutions for conservation and climate goals.

Leads public fundraising proposals and projects for conservation partnerships. Coordinates cross-organizational teams, develops fundraising plans, manages budgets and deadlines, supports grant writing, maintains funding pipeline data in BBCRM, and collaborates with public grants specialists and finance staff. The role also facilitates stakeholder communications, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, tracks committed and projected funds, and supports strategic resource mobilization. Travel may reach 20% and can occasionally occur on short notice.
