Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Assistant Manager - MPDM located in Coimbatore
What a typical day looks like
- Efficiently manage ECO / PDM process for manufacturing sites across the globe
- Work closely with IT for Design & Engineering tools
- Conduct flawless transition of processes from sites.
- Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
- Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members.
- Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics
- Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
- Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.
- Handle escalations if any and escalate matters requiring the senior management’s attention on a timely basis.
- Train new and existing team members and Team Leaders on relevant tools or topics.
- Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
- Maintain excellent relationship with internal customers at site and with key stakeholders in the organization.
- Create and make professional presentations to Management and customers.
- Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and have your team do the same.
- Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor Of Engineering (Any Stream) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Engineering / ECO Process
- At least 2 of these years in a Manufacturing set up (preferably EMS)
- Experience in handling Engineering Change Order Management (ECO/MCO/ECN).
- Creating setup like product Number, BOM Structure etc in PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and ERP for new Products.
- Creating part numbers for BOM in agile & Baan.
- Downloading customer documents like product specifications etc & releasing same in CDC
- Work as a Change Analysts during NPI for new changes.
- Release Part list to production for new models & after implementation of ECO's
