About the Role:
As an Associate Software Test Automation Engineer, your role involves supporting our team in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will assist in developing and executing test cases, working closely with more experienced team members to learn and grow your skills in test automation. Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating and running basic automated test scripts.
• Support the QA team in documenting test cases and results.
• Collaborate with developers to understand software requirements.
• Execute test cases and report bugs in the tracking system.
• Maintain and update test scripts as needed.
• Participate in test planning and review sessions.
• Perform basic test data setup for automated tests.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments.
• Learn and utilize test automation tools and frameworks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes.
Skills:
• Basic Programming: Fundamental knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Test Case Development: Ability to create simple test cases based on specifications.
• Automated Testing Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Selenium or JUnit.
• Bug Tracking: Proficiency in using bug tracking systems like JIRA.
• Collaboration: Basic skills in working within a team environment.
• Documentation: Ability to document test cases and defects clearly.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying discrepancies and issues.
• Continuous Learning: Openness to learning new testing techniques and tools.
