Job Title: Junior BI QA Analyst
Location: Chennai ( Hybrid )
Experience Level: 0–2 years
Department: Business Intelligence / Data Analytics ( Device Protection )
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior BI QA Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. The
ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL and a passion for ensuring data quality and accuracy in
dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. This role will be responsible for validating data pipelines, verifying
report logic, and supporting QA activities across BI projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform QA testing on BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and consistency.
• Compare source system data with BI/reporting outputs to ensure correctness.
• Document test cases, test results, and data discrepancies.
• Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Engineers, and Analysts to troubleshoot data issues.
• Assist in regression testing during report enhancements or data model changes.
• Monitor scheduled reports and data loads for anomalies or failures.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to improving QA processes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in QA or BI testing roles.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (joins, filters, aggregations, subqueries).
• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik) is a plus.
• Exposure to test case management or defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have
• Knowledge of Python or scripting for data validation.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
