Level 2 SCCM Support Engineer 

 

Technical requirements: 

  • SCCM Expertise

- Proficient in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCCM environments.  

- Hands-on experience with SCCM version X (specify the version) or later. 

 

  • Software Distribution: 

- Extensive knowledge of software distribution methodologies and best practices.  

- Ability to create and deploy software packages using SCCM. 

 

  • Patch Management: 

- Strong understanding of patch management processes and strategies within SCCM.  

- Experience in deploying and managing security updates and patches. 

 

  • Operating System Deployment (OSD): 

- Expertise in creating and managing OS deployment task sequences.  

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve OS deployment issues efficiently. 

 

  • Client Health Monitoring: 

- Proven experience in monitoring and maintaining the health of SCCM clients.  

- Ability to identify and remediate client-related issues proactively. 

 

  • PowerShell Scripting: 

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and custom SCCM solutions.  

- Capable of creating scripts for SCCM-related tasks and reporting. 

 

  • SQL Server Knowledge: 

- Basic understanding of SQL Server as it relates to SCCM database management.  

- Ability to execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting. 

 

  • Group Policy Integration: 

- Integration of SCCM with Group Policy for seamless configuration management.  

- Experience in troubleshooting Group Policy-related issues affecting SCCM. 

 

  • Security Best Practices: 

- Knowledge of security best practices related to SCCM configurations.  

- Familiarity with role-based access control and permissions within SCCM. 

 

  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: 

- Understanding of high availability configurations for SCCM components.  

- Ability to implement and test disaster recovery plans for SCCM. 

 

  • Networking Fundamentals: 

- Basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot SCCM communication issues.  

- Understanding of ports and protocols relevant to SCCM operations. 

 

  • Certifications: 

- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager or equivalent.
