Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.

  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

You will also manage stakeholder relationships, communicate complex ideas effectively, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

To be successful as a Dev Ops Engineer - Vice President, you should have experience with:

  • Strong DevOps & CI/CD Expertise: Deep understanding of DevOps principles, SDLC, and end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
  • Pipeline Tooling & Automation: Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity to build and maintain reliable CI/CD workflows.
  • DevSecOps & Code Quality: Practical experience integrating tools like SonarQube, Veracode, and Prisma Scan for security, static analysis, and compliance.
  • Containers & Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS for containerized application deployments.
  • Scripting & Automation Development: Strong skills in Python, Bash/Shell, or Java (Spring Boot) to build automation workflows, API/webhook integrations, and deployment scripts.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Good experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure.
  • Database & Environment Management: Understanding of MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL for deployment automation and environment configuration.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Monitoring & Observability: Exposure to ELK, AppDynamics, Prometheus, or Grafana for logging, alerting, and performance monitoring.
  • Agile Delivery Practices: Experience working in Agile teams with JIRA for sprint planning, tracking, and workflow management.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to guide development teams on DevOps best practices.
  • Problem‑Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues across pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure components.
