Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in building and managing Azure cloud platforms using Docker. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and working with SQL Server databases. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in DevOps and Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure using Docker containers.
- Deploy and manage Java/Spring Boot RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with SQL Server databases.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, and GIT.
- Automate infrastructure tasks and deployments with Python scripts and other scripting languages.
- Integrate and manage messaging systems, such as Kafka, for robust application communication.
- Monitor, debug, and resolve infrastructure and application issues by analysing log files, Dynatrace, and other observability tools.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on Azure cloud and containerization (Docker).
- Proven expertise in deploying and managing Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and SQL Server environments.
- Proficient with CI/CD tools including Harness, Jenkins, GIT, and scripting with Python.
- Building Azure or AWS cloud platform using scripts
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyse logs and utilize monitoring tools like Dynatrace.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of networking and system administration in Azure or AWS
