About this opportunity:
We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Engineer with strong exposure to system administration and hands-on expertise in Ericsson IN Charging systems. The role involves planned configuration activities, ICP upgrades, audits, and implementation of customer/network changes across key IN nodes. The incumbent will support ongoing operations, ensure network stability, and collaborate effectively in a matrix environment, including night shift support.
Key Technical Skills:
Strong exposure to system administration (O&M) activities in telecom environments
Good knowledge of Charging System operations and maintenance
Strong working knowledge of RHEL & UNIX commands
Understanding of network/technology evolution from an IN perspective, including converged networks
Relevant IN domain experience with good knowledge of IN protocols such as:
INAP, CAMEL, Diameter
Mandatory knowledge of Ericsson Charging System including ICP updates of CS nodes
Experience on IN nodes, including:
SDP, CCN, OCC, AIR, NGVS
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Responsibilities:
Perform ICP upgrades/updates and execute node configuration changes through planned Change Requests (CRs)
Implement configuration changes on Charging System nodes (SDP, CCN, OCC, AIR, NGVS)
Maintain and manage the Operational Calendar and planned activity schedules
Gather and understand customer requirements and implement approved changes in the network
Perform audits across different Charging System nodes and document findings
Prepare implementation plans for audit findings and customer-driven requirements
Conduct feasibility analysis and propose solutions for network changes and enhancements
Provide night shift operational support throughout the month (5 days per week)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technical discipline
Total experience: 7-10 years
Mandatory: 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience in Ericsson IN
