Summary:

Genesys is looking for a Financial Analyst to support strategic cost management and vendor decisions across a complex technology environment. This role will focus on financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to inform strategic decisions.

The Financial Analyst will partner closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and vendor management to translate cost trends, consumption patterns, pricing structures, and business tradeoffs into recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for helping Genesys better understand and manage technology and vendor spend across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Track and reconcile actual technology and vendor spend against approved forecasts and budgets; explain material variances, drivers, and risks

·         Analyze spend, usage, quantity, and pricing trends across strategic vendors and technology services

·         Support strategic renewals through cost modeling, quantity analysis, scenario planning, and financial recommendations

·         Develop business cases and financial models to support vendor selection, cost optimization, and investment decisions

·         Translate complex cost, contract, and consumption data into decision-ready recommendations for leadership

·         Identify cost trends, financial risks, and optimization opportunities across contracts and services

·         Support budget and forecast performance reporting related to technology and vendor spend 

 

Required Qualifications:

·         3+ years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, cost analysis, FinOps, or related roles

·         Experience with forecasting, financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis

·         Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including modeling large datasets and scenario analysis

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders

·         Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience working with technology, cloud, SaaS, or vendor-related spend

·         Experience supporting strategic renewals, contract analysis, or vendor commercial decisions

·         Experience analyzing cloud, software, infrastructure, or consumption-based pricing models

·         Experience creating executive-level reporting or presentations

·         Familiarity with procurement, vendor management, or technology cost structures

·         Experience working with reporting and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
