Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled GCP DevOps Engineer to lead the implementation and management of cloud deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes leveraging Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you will drive the adoption of emerging technologies, optimize cloud operations, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Your expertise will enable efficient project delivery and continuous innovation aligned with organizational goals.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Deployment Manager
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Deployment Manager
Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
Proficiency with scripting and automation languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell scripting
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, DataDog, or Prometheus
Preferred Skills:
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
Knowledge of security concepts like IAM policies, encryption, and compliance standards (ISO, GDPR)
Experience with serverless technologies (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef

Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP and infrastructure-as-code practices
Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
Architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments aligned with project and organizational requirements
Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment and operational efficiency
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best DevOps practices and emerging cloud technologies
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud operational issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
Evaluate new tools, platforms, and automation techniques to improve efficiency and scalability
Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection standards, and industry best practices
Document infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, and operational workflows

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure management
Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing GCP-based cloud environments at scale
Demonstrable experience leading automation projects, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure deployments
Experience working with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud operations for large-scale projects
Prior experience with container orchestration, microservices architecture, and cloud security is highly desirable
Industry domain experience in fintech, healthcare, or enterprise systems is a plus
Day-to-Day Activities
Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure for new and existing projects on GCP
Develop, test, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless builds and deployments
Collaborate with developers, architects, and security teams to optimize cloud workloads
Monitor cloud environments continuously, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
Manage security configurations, IAM roles, and compliance adherence in cloud environments
Conduct infrastructure audits, capacity planning, and performance tuning
Research emerging cloud technologies and recommend practical improvements
Document best practices, architectural blueprints, and operational procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer are preferred
Extensive hands-on experience designing and managing cloud-native solutions on GCP
