Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Manager to lead our Marketing & Sales efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to drive market growth, enhance brand presence, and achieve ambitious sales targets for Hitachi, Ltd.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans aligned with Hitachi's overall business objectives.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing and sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Oversee market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new opportunities and optimize existing strategies.

  • Manage the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, events, etc.).

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Drive the sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve revenue goals.

  • Monitor and analyze marketing and sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.

  • Manage marketing and sales budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, engineering, and service teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in marketing and sales.

  • Closely work with tendering/pre-sales, contract team, engineering to negotiate terms and win new order for the BU for power system sales

  • Must have a strategic mindset to develop plans that help Hitachi winning business objectives

  • Must demonstrate leadership skills, collaboration, cultural flexibility/adaptability, etc.

  • Must bring innovative ideas, digitalization, process system improvement, etc.

  • Should collaborate with multiple functions like engineering, tendering, commercial, contract, SCM, and PMO

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with MBA in Marketing preferred

  • Minimum of 13-19 years of progressive experience in marketing and sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and sales strategies that resulted in significant growth.

  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing principles and sales methodologies.

  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Experience in the technology, industrial, or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
