Job Description

Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Chennai


Summary:

We are looking for a qualified, passionate and resourceful HR professional who can ensure a smooth and efficient business partnership. As HR Generalist, you will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities in supporting our business objectives by providing expert HR guidance and solutions. You will partner closely with business leaders, managers and teams to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

- Support and partner business units & teams including stakeholders like leaders, managers and employees to address workforce or business needs and to run efficient HR programs, tasks and initiatives (including but not limited to Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, DEI, Operations, Learning & Development, Mobility, and Talent Acquisition).
- Provide consultation and coaching to business stakeholders through the HR Business Partnership model and participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers multiple dimensions of HR including talent management, employee conduct and capability, grievances, organizational changes, and all other employee-relations matters in compliance with all organization & HR policies.
- Be the primary backup for the HR Coordinators, including for payroll processing, background validation and checks, employee letter requests and reports & database management.
- Handle all administrative tasks for employee onboarding, new-hire orientations, employee offboarding, and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in employee and stakeholders communication and ensure total compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws. 
- Be the agent for delivering exceptional employee experience.

- Build working relationships with all stakeholders and peers to resolve problems through effective collaboration. 
 

Minimum Requirements:

- Any Bachelor's degree and Masters in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a SaaS software company.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with business leaders and employees.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of HR procedures & policies.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems and ability to learn new technical systems as required.

- Proven success working in an HR department
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
